Here is exactly what is checked before a caregiver can appear in your search, what happens when something lapses, and which of it is running at launch versus still ahead.
Criminal background check
at launchRun through a background-check provider before a caregiver becomes bookable, and repeated on a schedule after that.
State licence and certification
at launchVerified against the issuing state board for RNs, LPNs, and physical therapists, and against the state nurse aide registry for CNAs and home health aides.
Federal exclusion list
at launchChecked against the OIG List of Excluded Individuals and Entities, which is the public record of people barred from federal healthcare programmes.
Automatic expiry lockout
at launchA credential that lapses removes the caregiver from search the same day. Nobody stays bookable on paperwork that has run out.
Continuous re-verification
designedLicence and exclusion status re-checked automatically rather than at onboarding only, so a change mid-engagement is caught.
Identity verification
designedOptional, and entirely the caregiver's choice. Verified status appears as a filter you can apply. In home care you choose your caregiver — we do not score them and pick for you, because a platform that ranks workers by quality is directing their work.

Safety runs both ways
A caregiver who feels unsafe should not be doing arithmetic.
Most platforms protect the customer and leave the worker to calculate whether leaving is worth the lost pay. That is a design choice, and we made the other one.
